Description
In Japan, Kukicha is served in a large cup without a handle. Traditionally, it is not flavoured with milk or sugar, but might be sweetened with rice syrup. Of all Japanese teas, this tea is the easiest one to prepare because it is cooked very shortly. Ideally, the tea should be served and drunk hot, cooled only with lemon and diluted with apple juice in the ratio of 1: 1.
The first green tea seeds were brought to Japan between 618-905. From the beginning, the plant and the beverage were closely connected only to the religious temple life, however, it is a national drink nowadays. Differently processed Mitoku teas come from tea plant.
Mitoku has been engaged in the distribution of traditional Japanese products in organic quality for over 30 years. The company cooperates only with family businesses that are loyal to traditional Japanese flavours, food stuff and production processes. Over the last years, the company has also been involved in the fight against genetically modified food.
Organic food always goes through a system of checks and certifications that ensures their quality and enables them to bear this designation. Their organic quality is particularly appreciated by people with an interest in organic farming and a sustainable farming system.
