Description
Clarified butter is known in India as ghee, but it could also be called purified butter. IT is due to the production process, when classic butter is gradually heated up and clarified into the water bath until water and other admixtures are removed from it. This traditional process results in pure fat. The clarification process can take up to 10 hours. Well-stored ghee lasts for months and has a higher smoke point than regular butter.
