Description
Quinoa comes from South America, where it still belongs among the main agricultural crops. Incas even considered quinoa sacred, and with a bit of exaggeration we can say quinoa amazes us almost similarly also today. It is even being examined by the NASA as a nutritive suitable for astronauts during their long flights into the space.
Tips:
- Quinoa is a great side dish to stewed meals, sauces and grilled vegetables. For a more distinctive taste, cook quinoa in broth or add a bouillon.
- You can stuff various vegetables with quinoa and bake them - tomatoes, peppers or zucchinis.
- Quinoa can be cooked as a sweet dish as well - as porridge or a pudding.
- It is a great ingredient for rissoles or pancakes.
- You can add it to salads, soups or smoothies.

150 g quinoa
100 g frozen peas
1 red pepper
40 g chopped cashew nuts
1 small onion
1 tablespoon tahini
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon dried nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon curry
1 sprig fresh mint
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tortillas
Lettuce
1. Rinse quinoa several times under hot water, allow quinoa to cook for about 15 minutes in 400 ml of water until cooked and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
2. Sauté the chopped onions in the olive oil, add crushed garlic and curry and put a little bit of water so that it does not get burned. Add the sesame seeds spread Tahini, peas, cashew, chopped red pepper, season with salt and allow to cook for a little bit.
3. Set aside, add the nutritional yeast and mint and mix it with the cooked quinoa.
4. Once it has cooled, wrap it in tortillas along with the lettuce. Serve along with sour specialty Sojade natural mixed with chopped mint.
